Tomorrow should be the first day for the “new look”

See you on the other side. Planning on a walk on Wednesday.

Edit: 5:20PM MT – It’s over and I’ve slept off most of the sedative. I’ll be going to bed early tonight and I have an early morning follow up but the fog in my vision is gone. Focus is going to take a couple more days but I remember this from two weeks ago so we’re all good.

May’s not been a good month for TOMMW but June’s just around the corner.

I mostly just walked — slowly — and didn’t talk too much. I mostly just focused on one-foot-ahead-of-the-other. No records set today…but I did get out. Maybe tomorrow I’ll be earlier (and remember to post the audio sooner).

I need to slow down a little and enjoy it …

Yesterday was filled with more family stuff and today has been recovering

The good news is that my foot seems to be getting better. Staying off it apparently helped. I still need to see the rheumatologist again but next Monday is eye surgery again. After that, I’ll be almost stitched back together…but then it’s Memorial Day weekend here in the US and I’ll have visiting relatives, elder daughter’s graduation, and who knows what else.

I’m going schedule a walk for early tomorrow to see if I can get it in before the day escapes.

I also need another 20k words for the Gangster story before Friday (a familiar refrain)…sooner I get that done, the sooner I can move on to Double Share and the rest of the work.

I didn’t talk much today. I needed my breath to get thru the tall grass.

The mileage numbers are still off for the map. I think by about 18 or 20 miles but I’m staying the course until I’ve got a chance to sort them out.

Pressure is down to normal. Vision has cleared up remarkably.

Now I’m anxious to get the other one done because this is great!

No walk today.

Good news: Vision in the corrected eye is better than it’s been in 40 years.

Bad news: Eyeball pressure is still very high. I’ve got new drops and instructions to “take it real easy.”

So. No walk. I’m taking some tylenol now for the headache and will see about herding a few words together in a bit.

Goopy eye but already seeing better.

I’ll let ya know when I get the bandage off.

The foot’s a little better but nor “right” yet so no walk.

I doubt that I can finish this before Monday but it won’t be from lack of effort.

The snow has stopped and everything is blinding white out there. Almost literally blinding.

No walk today. That hour would be 1000 words and I need the words REALLY badly.

Just as well.. I’ve had to toss the Gredok story and start over.

New beginning is much better and I’m grinding out words as fast as I can.

Somewhere I’ve messed up the map numbers. Today is day 600 so it should not be more than 1200 miles…but I’m showing 1212 on the map file.

No time to track it down now…if somebody has the time and inclination to find the error? I’d appreciate it.

If not, that means I’m writing

Upside is I’ve got the lawnmower out of the shed and gassed up.

Bad new is that it had a mechanical failure about 5 minutes after I started mowing and it took the rest of the day to get it to a repair shop.

The foot is doing much better today. I’m sure the extra sleep I’ve been getting has helped a great deal.

I’m planning on getting back on the road tomorrow…assuming the swelling doesn’t return.
