First of all I love CJ Cherryh & think her Finity’s end is comparable to Ishmael’s saga. But to think she could write a better Ishmael book is ridiculous. What makes Ishmael so endearing & addicting can only be created by you, Sar. Never doubt that you have created something special & it’s something only you could have created. Sure Cherryh could have written something similar (She did. See “Finity’s End”), but she couldn’t create Ishmael & Ishmael’s universe. He is the character we care about & his universe is a place we love to visit & ponder & debate about ad infinitum.
