An option to add protein to oatmeal without adding many calories is to add an egg white or two. A trainer suggested it to me a few years ago and it realy is pretty good. Doesn’t change the flavor of the oatmeal much. Add the egg whites towards the end of the cooking process or microwave the mixture at the end just enough to cook the white. I imagine it would work with egg beaters too.
