With the pants size thing: I recently went the other way on that. It was such a relief. The ones I was wearing were bought after I had lost quite a bit of weight awhile back, a pretty long while in fact. I kept believing that they were soon to be comfortable again. Finally I decided that I could afford to buy more if I did find that the larger size had become to big. Funny thing was that after I lost that weight it took me ages to buy the smaller size. When you described that big pants feeling, I knew what you meant. Luckily I do not need to be concerned with beard size relative to BMI. 🙂
