I read an article yesterday about how we’re overdue for a decimation event. It would certainly be one solution to Climate Change.
I looked up the link for the original article: History Tells Us …

Well, decimation would only kill 700M people, not 6B. This article is very good, though – it does a good job of pointing out it’s just not that simple.
For example, the pundits pre WW1 saw the complex web of treaties as problematic – yet some of the Founding Fathers warned the US not to get into foreign entanglements. So, yeah we don’t learn from history.
Nathan one thing on the 1980 election Anderson collected only 5 million votes nation wide, and looking at the map even if every person who voted for Anderson had been a Carter supporter, he would not have won. Basic info here at this site, but it was Carter’s economic and diplomatic blunders that were the big issue. The sad thing is despite the fact that the President cannot enact economic policies without congress(in most cases) that person is the one who is held accountable for the state of the country when in reality we should be holding the Congress accountable, but that never happens.

Thanks!
That makes me feel a *little* bit better about my place in history, but doesn’t give me much hope about what’s about to happen in November. :/
