Sounds like your map is going to be a work of art! It’s always good to have a visual reference in a story where there’s a lot of travelling, but a really detailed, topographically correct map is rare. Even the Lord of the Rings had a simple, rudimentary map, if I recall correctly.
Naproxen sodium will help that muscle ache, if you can take it.
Very excited to hear of all the thinking, planning,etc., that’s going on. The INTERNAL work has to happen before the EXTERNAL. What a treat it’s going to be to read these two books!
I used to hide in the art room, the library, the choir room, the band room, in the catwalk over the stage, and in the tunnels under the school where stuff was stored. Of course, that was before they installed video cameras in schools.

I checked out the map over at Lamas wood, and I have to say that it was pretty impressive! I was kind of expecting black and white, line drawing-style. But that looks like a *real* map.
